Fallout 3

I've decided to do a series of posts about Fallout 3. First I've decided to issue a series of pictures I took.

The first few are of my apartment. I couldn't have it cleaned, so forgive the dingy-ness.

My table, with my Minigun and the Mechanist's costume.

My shelves, with my collection of Nuka-Cola Quantums, (some of them are multiple bottles in one "item")

The costumes on the left are the Ant Agonizer and a radiation suit.

My end table, with a few mementoes of my adventures. If you can tell what the two tubes are, then you deserve a prize.

My bedstand, with my Abe Lincoln action figure, and a pile of Benjamins.

The Lincoln Memorial, stark in the cloudy evening.
The Washington Monument, still standing, but just barely.

LOLcats

Lately, I've become quite a fan of the LOLcats. I'm extremely late to the boat, I know. But this does not make the LOLcats any worse. In fact, I've found that the average recent LOLcat is better than an older one. Anyway, in honour of the site, I've made a LOLcat of my own. (With a little help from a friend). It's not that great, but I don't care.

Photo Contest: Wheels

Well, I've been a slacker lately and I don't have a photo for this week's photo contest. Someone else did, so I thought I'd put it up even though he has no competition.

This week's subject was Wheels. Next Week's subject is Games. If I don't have a picture for that, you'll know that I'm done.

No Photo Contest

No one sent me any photos this week. I didn't have any particularly good ones either. Anyway, I went to the zoo today and got some pictures, so I'm putting them up instead. Enjoy!

The otters were swimming about, which was a lot of fun to see. Usually, they just laze about in their little nest of hay.

There are a bunch of neat flowers in the zoo right now. I liked this one a lot.

The prairie dogs just had some youngn's, it seems. Their hive was swarming with them. There was a prairie dog digging a new hole. It seemed to be making a lot of progress for something so small.

Photo Contest Rules

To see only the photo contest entries on this blog, click here.

The contest rules are simple: every week, some people I know and I go out and take pictures based on a topic. The photos are due Sunday. My personal goal is to have the photos up weekly by Monday morning. We submit them to your judgment, the losers are shamed, and the winners are inscribed in the hall of heroes forever, or at least for a week.

To vote for a picture, go to the "comments" section beneath the post, then write your name/alias and your choice of photo.

If you want to join the contest, drop me a line in the "comments" of this post.

Photos

The first photo contest was a qualified success: the posting and voting went fine, but I lost.

There is a new plan, though: Every Sunday, we'll get a subject from the internet, then we'll have until the next Sunday to put up a picture regarding it. While voting on the previous week proceeds, we'll take pictures for the next week, and so on.

Time's Up!

Spring Break is over, the pictures have been taken. Soon, we will discover who has taken the greatest picture of all time. I have chosen which picture I will submit, but I don't think it's the greatest of all time. We'll see.

I expect to have the pictures up by the end of the week. Good luck to everyone involved. (Particularly me).
